Pregnancy & Postpartum
Gentle, whole-body support through every season of motherhood
Pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood bring big shifts — in your body, your mind, and your identity. It’s a time of incredible growth, and sometimes, unexpected challenges. At Function to Flow, we support you through it all — from preconception to postpartum — with care that is calm, connected, and grounded in what your body needs.
Pregnancy Support
Pregnancy is a time of constant change — hormonally, emotionally, and structurally. You may feel discomfort in places you’ve never noticed before. That’s okay — we’re here to help your body adapt with ease.
Our pregnancy care focuses on:
- Supporting pelvic, hip, rib, and spinal mobility
- Easing round ligament, sacroiliac, and low-back pain using Webster’s Technique to reduce constraint.
- Working with breath, fascia, and postural patterns as your body shifts
- Preparing your body for the birth that’s right for you
Our aim is to create comfort, space, and confidence — in your body and in yourself — as you prepare for birth.
Postpartum & the Fourth Trimester
After birth, your body is in recovery — but you’re also feeding, carrying, settling, and adapting to a whole new rhythm of life. This time isn’t just about "bouncing back" — it’s about integration, healing, and learning who you are now.
We support:
- Reconnecting with your core, breath, and pelvic floor
- Postural support for feeding, baby-wearing, co-sleeping, and pram-wrangling
- Managing aches, tension, and physical fatigue
- Understanding and adapting to the shift of matrescence (the becoming of a mother)
- Working gently with your nervous system to support rest, regulation, and recovery
You don’t need to be “back to normal.” You just need a place to land and feel cared for.
Beyond the Fourth Trimester
The stress of being a mum — or being a woman in this season — is real. Whether you’re navigating sleep deprivation, identity shifts, hormonal changes, or the mental load of “keeping everyone afloat,” we’re here to walk beside you.
You’ll find care that supports your whole self — physically, emotionally, and practically — with a mix of hands-on treatment, movement strategies, and collaborative care with pelvic physios, GPs, lactation consultants, and your chosen support team.
You are not alone.
You deserve support — not just for your baby, but for you.
