Children & Neurodivergence

Gentle, sensory-aware support for growing brains and bodies

Neurodivergent children often experience the world in ways that are beautifully unique — and sometimes more intense, more sensitive, or more unpredictable.

At Function to Flow, we work with children who experience challenges with regulation, attention, sensory processing, sleep, digestion, movement, posture, or transitions — including those who may have diagnoses like autism, ADHD, developmental delay, sensory processing disorder, or no formal diagnosis at all.

We know that:

  • Regulation starts in the body.
  • The nervous system’s ability to feel safe, grounded, and adaptable is foundational for learning and connection.
  • Development doesn’t always follow a straight line — and that’s okay.

Chiropractic care isn’t about “fixing” your child.
It’s about supporting their nervous system in a way that helps them move, process, and connect in their best way with greater ease.

We assess and gently support:

  • Tone, posture, and coordination (so the body can move and settle comfortably)
  • Oral function (including breathing, swallowing, and tongue movement)
  • Primitive and postural reflexes (to understand where the nervous system may be working harder than it needs to)
  • Digestive and immune regulation (often connected to sensory and mood responses)
  • How your child responds to stress and input from their environment

We adjust our approach based on your child’s needs. That may mean moving slowly, using no-force techniques, giving plenty of breaks, or letting your child choose how and where care happens that day. (Yes, under the chair is still an option.)

We also take care of you — the parent or carer who knows their child best. You’ll be listened to and supported, and we’ll work together to find the right rhythm for care.

Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming space where your child can just be themselves — and where their nervous system has the chance to soften, integrate, and thrive.
