Meet Janine

Chiropractor. Educator. Woman’s health advocate. Forever learner.

I’m Janine Kinahan, a chiropractor with 20 years of experience working in rural Australia. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people of all ages improve their health and wellbeing — but I’ve also witnessed the gaps in our healthcare system, especially when it comes to women's health and childhood development.

Too often, women are told their bloodwork is “normal” even when they feel anything but. Parents are left without clear answers about their children’s development. And so many of us — especially women — are living in survival mode, just trying to function through the day.

That’s why I created Function to Flow Chiro.
A place where women, children, and families feel safe, supported, and heard. A space where care is gentle, informed, and focused on creating long-term change through nervous system health, movement, and mindful connection.

Why This Approach is Different

Every chiropractor brings their own lens to the work. Mine is built on decades of experience, years of advanced study, and a deep respect for how the nervous system shapes our ability to thrive.

I’ve completed postgraduate diplomas in paediatrics, pregnancy, and neurodevelopmental care. I teach SOT (Sacro Occipital Technique) internationally, and I’m also a certified craniopath — which means I look at your entire body, from head to toe, to understand how everything is connected through fascia, fluid, and nervous system flow.

I work through a polyvagal lens, understanding how your body adapts to stress and how we can gently shift that response back toward balance, regulation, and ease. Whether you’re dealing with hormone shifts, fatigue, chronic tension, sensory overwhelm, or supporting a child with developmental challenges — I take the time to meet you where you are.

I’m also a nerd for biomechanics, proprioception, nutrition, and the incredible ways our bodies can change when given the right support.

Why “Function to Flow”?

So many of us spend our days just getting through.
We function — we do the jobs, care for the kids, tick off the tasks — and fall into bed, wondering if we’ve even taken a breath for ourselves.

But function isn’t the goal. It’s the starting point.

Flow is that feeling of ease, alignment, and presence.
It’s when your body moves well, your mind feels clear, and you feel like yourself again.

My goal is to help you move from just functioning…to flowing.
